Following a recent tree inspection, it has been brought to our attention that unfortunatley, the two large Poplar trees located within the grounds of Longfield Community Park on Fawkham Road are severley diseased.
The recommendation from three separate tree surgeons, is that for safety reasons, these two trees need to be removed.
As a result, it is with much reluctance that the Parish Council will be instructiong a tree surgeon to remove the trees in due course with a view to replanting replacement trees thereafter.

We would like to thank all the stall holders and community for making the Longfield Festival 2015 a great success. Even though the weather at times was a little overcast and a couple of droplets of rain it didn't dampen peoples spirits. We thought Eagle Heights and the Therapy Ponies were a huge success.
We look forward to another Summer Festival in 2016.
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the DSTC student volunteers who came down to the Long Valley Hall on Thursday 23rd July and did a fantastic job trimming the hedgerows and litter picking around the car park and nature reserve.
